…As Boko Haram intercepts 10 buses
Some travelers who plied Maiduguri-Damaturu Road yesterday have been reportedly abducted by the dreaded Boko Haram and ISWAP group.
Report has it that not fewer than 10 vehicles carrying the passengers were intercepted by the terrorists on Tuesday evening in Jakana village.
Another report has it that many families were thrown into panic and confusion as many others rushed to Borno Express terminus as they could not connect with family members that travelled on Monday about the period the incident happened.
An elderly man who spoke with reporters, identified himself as Malam Usman said his daughter who travelled about the same time could not be reached on the phone and her belongings were not among those brought back to the station.
It was also reported that some families were seen collecting their members’ luggage.
The old man said he couldn’t her daughter on phone after hearing the incidence.
He however expressed hope that she will not be among those abducted.
