Only God behind PDP peaceful primaries-cleric, Pastor Udo Moses
A clergy, Pastor Udo Moses, has sent a big congratulations to Akwa Ibom people , particularly the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, for conducting a free, fair and peaceful primaries ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
Pastor Moses, who is the General Overseer of Pastor Udo Moses Outreach, Liverpool Road, Eket, expressed satisfaction with the level of political maturity in the state in his Sunday sermon at the church auditorium.
According to him,the way the primaries was conducted is a clair indication of God’s involvement in the affairs of Akwa Ibom.
Speaking on youth engagement in politics, the man of God said that gone are those days when youths were being used as political thugs and expressed happiness with the youths transformation and aspiration into political offices a development he said will in turn bring growth to the state.
On zoning, Pastor Udo Moses said that the choice of who leads the people is God’s hands and not man nor political parties.
“It is only when God chooses you to lead the people that you can be used. Zoning does not determined leaders .The Bible says that God choose leaders so there is no need saying that that zoning will determine leaders,” he said .
On the 2023 governorship and State House of Assembly elections, the cleric warned against premature political calculation and scheming, noting that the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel should be supported to accomplish its completion agenda to avoid of distraction in the state.
He particularly thanked the executive Governor Udom Emmanuel for the appointment of ‘new and good hands’ such as Frank Archibong, Prof Eno Ibanga, Comrade Ini Ememobong, Mrs Ini Adiakpan and many others into his Cabinet.
Pastor Udo Moses encouraged political office holders and other well meaning Akwa Ibomites to trust in God for everything and always pray for his love, wisdom and support to move the state to the promise land.
