Essien Udim First Lady celebrates birthday with new born babies
…visits 3 hospitals, donates gift items to babies
In her usual act of benevolence, generosity and compassion, the wife of the Transition Chairman, Essien Udim Local Government Council, Dr (Mrs) Umoh Gabriel TonyUdoh came through for some new born babies on Tuesday 19th March in commemoration of her 2024 birthday.
The First Lady, who disclosed that it has always been her desire to celebrate her birthday with the new born babies as a mother of Essien Udim chidren stormed the Cottage Hospital Ukana, Trio (Trinity) Medical Center, Okon and St Mary’s Hospital Urua Akpan all in Essien Udim with various gift items for the babies, wrappers and financial support for the parents.
The chairman’s wife who also presented special gifts to a child born during the visit at Cottage hospital said “I am so delighted today, I’ve been praying to God to give me a birthday mate this year and today God has answered that prayer. I’m happy to meet a baby born on my birthday, 19th March 2024.
“I have always celebrated my birthday with my friends but today, I have decided to celebrate and share with the new born babies in Essien Udim.”
While praying for the children, the chairman’s wife encouraged the parents to take good care of their kids and train them in the ways of God so as to grow up and become useful to themselves, family and the society in general.
Responding, Mr Mboso John Udoh, father of the baby who was born during the visit thanked the first lady for identifying with the babies and for her compassionate and kind heart. “You and your husband will not end your political career at the local government level but God will elevate you and make you relevant in state and national politics for doing this. I wish you a wonderful birthday,” he prayed.
In the same way, Mrs Edidiongma Sampson, one of the mother’s prayed for God’s protections, sustenance and guidance to the Chairman’s wife and her husband.
The First Lady was accompanied by the wife of the Vice Chairman, Essien Udim Transition Committee, Mrs Ndifreke Imo Etim; PDP Chapter Women Leader, Hon. Rose Thompson; Supervisor for Women Affairs, Mrs Doris Usen, Desk Officer, Women Development Essien Udim, Mrs Brigid Udoh and fmr supervisor for women affairs Ms Mary James.
