UMO ENO: Asikpo initiates entrepreneurial scheme for Apostolic Youths
Commissioner 4 in the Akwa Ibom State Local Government Service Commission, Obong John Asikpo has called on youths of the state to embrace entrepreneurship in order to benefit from the Arise Agenda of Pastor Umo Eno.
Asikpo made this call at The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Uruk Uso Assembly, Ikot Ekpene last Sunday.
According to Engr. Asikpo who is popularly known as ODUDU ONE,” I came here to thank God for the success of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno and others at the recently concluded elections. I call on the youths to embrace entrepreneurship so as to key into the vision of the governor as encapsulated in the Arise Agenda of Pastor Umo Eno,” he advised.
Asikpo used the occasion to redeem the pledge of two million naira he pledged prior to the election and urged the Church to use the money to train vulnerable youths in entrepreneurship and other trades in support of the “Arise Agenda” of Pastor Umo Eno.
Asikpo appealed to the church to continue to pray for the success of the Governor and government.
Responding, the Area Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Uruk Uso Area, Apostle Ime Boniface Umanah commended Engr. Asikpo for his love for God and humanity while assuring that the church will continue to pray for the peace of the land and success of government.
The entrepreneural scheme is aimed at training youths from the church in many crafts,trade and skills with a plan to equip successful applicants with starter packs upon completion of training.
