Senate 2023: Oruk Anam people assure Enoidem, PDP of victory
Ahead February 25, 2023 Senatorial election, Oruk Anam people have vowed to vote Barr Emmanuel Enoidem Senatorial ambition for senate and all Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon. Udom Kierian Akpan, member, representing Oruk Anam State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly who stated this while presenting the PDP candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Ukanafun /Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, and Oruk Anam State Constituency respectively, said the local government gave PDP the highest votes in 2019, reiterating the determination of Oruk Anam people to repeat the feat in 2023.
“”Oruk Anam LGA will justify its strength as the largest Local Government Area in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District by producing the highest number of votes to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,” Leader of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Elder Udo Kerian Akpan has assured.
He called on the candidates to be rest assured of a landslide victory in Oruk Anam LGA, stating that since 1999, Oruk Anam has always remained PDP, and 2023 will not be an exception.
Addressing the rally, the PDP Senatorial candidate, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem said, his aspiration apart from being divine is aimed at doing justice to the 62 years of injustice against Abak federal Constituency which has seen Abak remaining the only constituency yet to produce a Senator in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.
He promised to offer effective proactive and people-centered representation when elected into office as well as attract dividends of democracy to the people.
Speaking earlier during a Consultation Visit to his Palace, the Paramount Ruler of Oruk Anam LGA, His Royal Majesty, Akuku Engr. Johnson Johnny Obosi IV (JP) said Barr Enoidem as the people’s choice for the Ikot Ekpene Senate come 2023 is a settled issue but solicited for more government’s attention to Inen community and its environs because they are the border Community.
“Oruk Anam is PDP and all the candidates of the party are tested and trusted people who the people trust. For the Senate, for instance, we don’t need to talk much because we all know that Barr Emmanuel Enoidem will outperform all his predecessors”, he declared.
