INEC Spokesman to deliver 2022 NIPR Annual Lecture, Friday
The National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee of INEC, Mr Festus Okoye, will be delivering lecture at the 2022 Annual General Meeting/8th Chief O. W. Udoh Memorial lecture/Dinner Award to be hosted in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital by the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR.
The event which is slated for Friday, 4th November, 2022 at the Breakforth Hotels & Suites, 11, House of Assembly road, off Nsikak Eduok Avenue in Uyo, has as its theme; “Strategic Communications and Credible 2023 Electioneering in Nigeria.”
A statement jointly endorsed by the NIPR Chairman in the state, Nsemeke Udoakpan, who is the host, the AGM Planning Committee, Chairman, Manasseh Umoette, indicates that Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel is expected to grace the occasion as special guest of honour, while the President/Chairman of Council, NIPR, Sirajo Muhktar, FNIPR will serve as guest of honour.
Erudite communications expert and Member representing Abak/Etim-Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, Hon. Aniekan Umanah is billed to serve as Chairman on the occasion, while the Chief host is the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong.
Time for the dinner and award night is 7pm.
According to the planning committee, the lecture / dinner night is to be preceded by a facility visit to the Kings Flour Mill, Onna on Thursday, November 3, 2022 by 10 am and a visit to Topfaith School, Mkpatak by 2 pm same day.
Furthermore, the statement invites NIPR members and the general public to the event.
