2023: Cross River PDP House of Representatives Primaries Election Peaceful, Free, Fair, Credible
The Cross River State Federal House of Representatives PDP primary election was held on Sunday, 23rd May 2022 at the Nkonib Town Hall, Ikot Ansa, Calabar Municipality.
The primary election was headed by Barr Ikpi Ubanga Enyong’s 3 man Panel Committee and the election was generally adjudged to be peaceful, free, fair and credible.
While declaring the primary election results before the delegates and the media.
Panel Committee chairman of the primary election, Barr Ikpi Ubanga announced that, Rt Hon. Ettah Mbora won by landslides, polling 56 votes against his opponent Mr Esuabanga Asuquo Esuabanga who gathered 14 votes to contest under the Peoples Democratic Party for the Municipality/Odukpani Federal
Similarly, in Akampka/Biase Federal Constituency, Mr Austine Adam polled 43 votes to defeat Messers Bassey Bassey and Inyang Unoh who had 15 and 5 votes respectively.
The primary election in Abi/Yakurr federal constituency was a hectic contest between Eko Ati who scores 33 votes to defeat Mike Eja who polled 30 votes, a difference from 3 votes.
