2023: Pastor Umo Eno will make A’Ibom great again – NewAge for Good Governance
Ahead the 2023 general elections, a political pressure group, NewAge for Good Governance, says Akwa Ibom can achieve greatness under Pastor Umo Eno if he is elected into office as governor.
The group’s International President, Engr Otobong Okon Essien, who stated this while addressing extra-ordinary meeting of the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the group in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital, urged Nigerians to support Atiku Abubakar as he has the capacity and competence to deliver good governance in the country if elected as president in 2023.
She noted that Atiku and Umo Eno are entrepreneurs who know how to start small and grow big, adding that Nigeria need people capable of harnessing the country’s resources and economic potentials for the prosperity of all.
“”Atiku has experience as a former Vice President and an entrepreneur who has successfully managed a conglomerate. So, at this point in time, we need someone in Nigeria who can unify the country and the state and create wealth for all,” he remarked.
Engr Essien noted that the group was established in 2018 as grassroot mobilizers and canvassers and were actively involved in Atiku/Obi ticket in 2019.
She enjoined the state executive of the body to embark on aggressive grassroot mobilisation for Atiku/Okowa and Umo Eno/Enyakenyi in 2023.
While noting that the group will leave no stone unturn in ensuring victory for all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming elections in 2023 by embarking on door-door, village – Village aggressive Campaigns for the party and called on those who are planning to leave the party to perish the thought and remain in the party and work towards the success of the PDP.
The International President who commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for the choice of Pastor Umo Eno and PDP for nominating him as the party’s flag-bearer, maintaining that he is the most viable option capable of giving PDP victory in 2023 and called on Akwa Ibom people to support the party’s candidates as PDP is the only party that has their interest at heart.
Her words, “I want to urge those who left the party to have a rethink and return to the umbrella and those who are yet to take the decision should drop the idea and remain in the party and embrace the reconciliation process that’s on going for peace and tranquility in the state as patience is likened to goldmine”
She hinted that the group will be inaugurated on the 19th of August in the state and urged members to swing into action to ensure that the gospel of governance through, Umo Eno as governor of Akwa Ibom State and Atiku Abubakar as Nigerian president is preached to all the people.
