2023: Legal fireworks will strengthen Umo Eno for the task ahead – MPM/Team Umo Eno
Pastor Umo Eno’s campaign organisation, Maintain Peace Movement (MPM) and Team Umo has described the judgement of an Abuja Court, affirming the eligibility of ad hoc delegates and by extension, the validity of the nomination process, as a vindication of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and strength to Pastor Umo Eno governorship ambition

The release reads:
The recent judgement of an Abuja Court, affirming the eligibility of ad hoc delegates and by extension, the validity of the nomination process, is a loud and eloquent vindication of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The oldest political party in Nigeria, manned by tested, experienced and veteran politicians and statesmen, will always view its actions and decisions against extant rules and current legislations, especially the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral Act.
By God’s grace, having done due diligence and painstakingly followed the Law in the process leading to the nomination of all its candidates, the PDP in Akwa Ibom State, is unperturbed by court cases filed to challenge its decisions in that regard. Rather, it is working harder than ever to retain the State and improve on its previous electoral performances.
The litigations, attacks and relentless media onslaughts against Pastor Umo Eno, only help to convince the discerning that he holds all the aces as far as the forthcoming gubernatorial election is concerned. Of course, while everyone ignores an unfruitful mango tree, the one harbouring ripe, succulent and yummy fruits will receive series of crisscrossing missiles – some by sincere people who desire to eat of its enticing fruits, and others, from those who may not be comfortable with good things. Either way, the blessings of God or a manifest destiny, can’t escape attention amidst persecutions.
We hereby reiterate our admonition to the teeming lovers, supporters and followers of Pastor Umo Eno to remain focused on the forthcoming polls, because our Principal’s opponents know they have no chance at the polling units, hence their journey across the Courts and the virtual world. To that extent, the moment all the cases are decided and judiciously disposed of, their own contest would have effectively come to an end.
We appreciate our team of dedicated and professionally competent lawyers for presenting our defense well before the Court. We also commend the objectivity and industry of the Court in delivering this landmark judgement which shall undoubtedly help to resolve similar ongoing and future electoral disputes across the nation.
To Party faithful and supporters of Pastor Umo Eno across Party lines, we are grateful for your unflinching support. Your support and goodwill mean a lot to the Umo Eno gubernatorial project. We are also indebted to our religious, traditional and political leaders as well as elder statesmen for their support in form of prayers, counsel and even endorsement.
Above all, we thank the Almighty God, the Creator of Akwa Ibom State and the One who ordained Pastor Umo Eno as it’s Governor in 2023 for assuring us of victory in all present and future attempts at derailing His plans for the State.
Mater-of-factly, the heights reached in flights by eagles, are not attained without the excruciating flying rituals of the aerie, therefore, all the mudslinging, serve as preparatory grounds to strengthen Pastor Umo Eno for the great tasks ahead.
Indeed, the Umo Eno gubernatorial project is on course and cannot be stampeded, stopped or derailed.
