2023 Ikot Ekpene Fed Const seat: Stakeholders reject Nsikak Ekong insist on zoning
Political Stakeholders of Ikot Ekpene, Essien Udim and Obot Akara have unanimously resolved that the Federal Constituency seat move to Obot Akara Local Government Area in line with the existing zoning arrangement.
This decision was reached at a Stakeholders Meeting convened by Senator Christopher Ekpenyong at his Old Firing Range road, Ikot Ekpene this afternoon.
At the meeting which had prominent Political actors from Ikot Ekpene, Essien Udim and Obot Akara Local Government Areas, the Stakeholders resolved that the Federal Constituency seat in 2023 is for Obot Akara LGA in line with the existing zoning arrangement which has engendered peace in the Federal Constituency.
Shortly after Senator Chris Ekpenyong set the tone for the meeting it was the unanimous agreement of stakeholders that the zoning be upheld to strengthen the party and the bond of unity in the three sister local governments.
Those who spoke during the meeting include Elder Daniel Udom Obot( Command),Hon. Unyime Etim and Hon Favour Otong for Ikot Ekpene Local Government.
Otuekong Felix Emmanson, Mr. Iton Isonguyo and Sir Monday Ebong Uko- Commissioner For Youths and Sports/ Dean of Commissioners for Obot Akara LGA.
Abom Emmanuel Umanah, Hon. Emmanuel Useh and Hon. Martins Umanah spoke on behalf of Essien Udim LGA.

The resolution of the stakeholders meeting was read by Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien, the Political Leader of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area. With this development, the Stakeholders have reaffirmed the existing zoning arrangement in Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency which makes it the turn of Obot Akara Local Government to produce the next House of Representative member.
