2023 Guber: Umo Eno possesses charisma of servant-leader – Udonsek
As Akwa Ibom people prepare to elect the next governor of the state and members of the State House of Assembly this Saturday, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Sunny Udonsek says the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno possesses the charisma of a servant leader who will take the state to an enviiable height when elected as governor of the state.
The Onna born politician, who scored Governor Udom Emmanuel high in his performance in the state, averred that Pastor Umo Eno will consolidate on the achievements and legacies of Udom Emmanuel’s administration when voted as governor on March 18 election.
“”Umo Eno is the only person whom the cap fits to take over from Udom and continue with his legacies for the benefit of Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel has done marvelously well. He has made us in Onna to be very proud of him. He has done great work.
“”Umo Eno is humble, very articulate with good character and strong determination to do what is good for Akwa Ibom State. He is also a man of God and a preacher of the Word. Remember Akwa Ibom is named after God, ‘Akwa Abasi Ibom State’ so, we need God’s people to pilot the affairs of the state. We don’t need a cultist to govern us. We are God’s own people. Therefore, principles in the Bible must be practised and adhered to in the state. So, it is time for a man of God to govern Akwa Ibom. We thank for Udom Emmanuel for discovering Pastor Umo Eno. The Bible says that when the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice. So, Akwa Ibom people should be ready to rejoice when Umo Eno is sworn in as their governor,” Udonsek posited.
He described Governor Udom Emmanuel as an asset and a great gift of God to Akwa Ibom State who has brought peace and prosperity to the people through his industrial Renaissance.
He reasoned that Umo Eno has what it takes to build on the legacies of Udom Emmanuel and also sustain the peace in the state.
On the achievement of Governor Emmanuel in the past 7 years, Udonsek postulated that the governor is the best Akwa Ibom ever had.
His words: “Considering the bad conditions of roads in Nigeria, Udom introduced Ibom Air which is one of the most efficient airlines in the country with effective management team. Udom has constructed many roads making Akwa lbom one of the states in the country with the best network of roads. You can see many dual carriage roads built by Udom Emmanuel’s administration. He also ensured that all the local government areas are connected to the state capital with good motorable roads.
“”It was unfortunate and disheartening to hear one of the governorship candidates in the state spoke on national television that he has not seen what Udom has done and that there is no roads in Akwa Ibom State, whereas, Governor Udom Emmanuel has constructed roads to his village and he plies it everyday. I think people should shun dirty politics and learn to speak the truth. The fact remains that Udom has performed more than every other governor in the state. What we are praying for now is for him to bring someone that will work like him and even surpass his records. We believe Umo Eno is that man. He has the capacity and competence.
“Umo Eno is an industrialist, economist and a great manager of human and material resources. He has the capacity to sustain all the good things Udom administration has done. That is the kind of man we want in Akwa Ibom. Someone with a listening ear, cool-headed and a leader who is always ready to work for and with people to achieve results.”
While positing that a vote for Umo Eno is a way of supporting the completion agenda of Udom Emmanuel’s administration and also in appreciation of his good works in the state, Chief Usonsek assured the PDP governorship candidate and other candidates of the party of the overwhelming support and massive vote by Onna people for him to succeed at the poll, calling on Akwa Ibom people to vote for Pastor Umo Eno for continuous prosperity and industrialization of Akwa Ibom State
The politician, who faulted the conduct of the last presidential and National Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said the election was flawed with irregularities and massive rigging and called on the electoral body to ensure that they the will of the people prevails by conducting a free, fair and credible election devoid of controversies and rigging so as to restore hope on the people.
