Ultra-modern Temple: Gov Umo Eno Celebrates Apostolic Church Nigeria
… Hails Church For Support at Guber Polls
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended the Apostolic Church, Ikono Field, for their commitment and successful dedication of a magnificent Ultra – Modern Field Temple.
Speaking at the 3rd Ikono Field Annual Convention and the dedication service, Governor Eno said it was a lofty and rewarding service to support the building of the house of God and the works of God generally.
The governor, who was evidently pleased at the impressive edifice, prayed that God will abundantly bless all members and non-members that supported the project.
The governor also seized the opportunity to appreciate the church for their support during the last governorship election, which, according to him, made it possible for him to emerge victorious at the poll.
The governor, who has his roots in the Apostolic Church, said it was encouraging and motivating to see the church rise in unison and spoke with one voice in support of one of their own in the last election.
Earlier, the governor had attended the second biennial convention of the United Evangelical Church held at the Ibom Hall grounds, where he equally appreciated the church for their support.
He maintained that though he might not be able to reach everyone individually in appreciation, a successful implementation of the ARISE Agenda as will be reflected in model schools, health centers, modern markets, roads and many others will stand in the gap as a message of appreciation to all the citizenry.
On his part, the immediate past governor of the State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel commended Governor Eno for his good works in the State and urged everyone to continue to support him to actualise the vision of the ARISE Agenda.
He thanked God for raising men to facilitate the church building project and also commended everyone that supported in divers ways.
Also speaking, Justice Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court of Nigeria urged everyone in the area to shun every ungodly tendency and embrace God for their personal good and the State in general.
Justice Okoro, who hails from Ikono and a strong member of the Apostolic Church, appreciated everyone who supported in the project.
The high point of the service was the presentation of gifts and awards to the governor in acknowledgement and appreciation of his support.
