Ukana FedPoly: Registrar identifies cooperative as recipe for staff economic development.
The Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Ukana,Dr. Okon John Ekanem has charged the newly elected members of the Management Committee to pilot the affairs of Federal Polytechnic Staff(Ukana) Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Limited to live above board in order to allow members derive the desired benefit from the Cooperative Society.
Dr. Ekanem gave this charge last weekend at the Annex campus of the Polytechnic while inaugurating the Management Committee that will pilot the affairs of the association for the next three years.
Dr. Ekanem said the benefit of the Cooperative Society to Staff members cannot be over emphasized even as he noted that it had the propensity for economic growth and development of members. He called on members to embrace the idea assuring them of a bountiful harvest.
The Management Committee has Comrade Patrick Nwagwu as President; Comrade Elizabeth Uko-Vice President;
Comrade Philip Effiom -Secretary and Comrade
Emmanuel Uloh as Assistant Secretary.

Chidi Anyanwu as Public Relations Officer.
A 3 man Council of Inspection was also elected to supervise the Management Committee. The Council has Comrade Jeremiah Akpabio as Chairman, Comrade Nkoyo Ikang as Secretary and Comrade Samuel Chinakwe as Treasurer.
Members of the union expressed optimism that the leadership so elected will work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them by jump-starting the Cooperative Society for the benefit of all members.
