…Thanksgiving/Reception postponed indefinitely
In view of the mood in the country, the people of Akwa Ibom North West (Ikot-Ekpene) Senatorial who had concluded plans to host their illustrious son, Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs to a thanksgiving//reception October 23,2020 have decided to postpone the event indefinitely till normalcy returns to our dear Nation.
The decision which was unanimous was taken at an enlarged meeting of stakeholders.
They agreed that their son being a sensitive Nigerian patriot would not subscribe to a celebration in the midst of the current National challenge.
Consequent upon the above, the thanksgiving/ reception for the Honouranle Minister, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs by the People of Akwa Ibom North-West (Ikot Ekpene)Senatorial District earlier scheduled for 23/10/2020 is hereby postponed till further notice.
The Central Planning Committee (CPC) regrets the inconveniences occasioned by this postponement.
