The latest come from a familiar ‘enemy’, Senator Ita Enang, who claimed Udom Emmanuel cannot be exonerated on fraudulent spending and misapplication of public funds.

“You cannot say that I am an eternal critic of Governor Udom Emmanuel. Of course you know I’ve always commended him on areas of security, even though there are lapses here and there. You are also aware that I commend the government for the management of Ibom Air, but on misappropriation of public funds, and fraudulent spending? The Governor cannot be exonerated on that,” Senator Ita Enang insisted.
He expressed dismay over the spate of excessive spending in the state even the people are struggling to make decent living.
His words:
“With the level of poverty, unemployment, nonpayment of pensions and gratuity to retired civil servants, hunger everywhere in the land, it is unjustifiable how Governor Udom Emmanuel spends billions of naira on a privately owned aircraft.”

“Saul was a King in the Bible. The spirit of the Lord departed from him. He started well but ended very wrongly. From all indications, it does appear that the spirit of the Lord has departed from the Governor. A man who has God’s spirit leading him cannot be seen to be messing around with peoples money on fraudulent ventures,” he said.
He pointed out that the high level of misappropriation in that has contributed greatly to the hostility in the oil producing communities in the state, a development he maintained will continue to hold back Mobil and other oil companies from relocating to the state.
According to him: “The state government have misapplied, misappropriated and diverted funds owned by oil communities. This has made the oil communities very hostile for the oil companies. This is why they cannot relocate to the communities.”
Senator Ita Enang said he has been attracting national presence to the state.
“I brought the Federal Polytechnic to Ididep. Former Governor Godswill Akpabio took it to Ukana
“Senators in Akwa Ibom State have vowed not to fight for the Calabar-Odukpani-Ikot Ekpene Road so that it would not be recorded as my brain child. I have gone out of my way to source for funds for the development of the road,” he claimed.
