…Apostolic Church to immortalise Udoiyak
The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN), Akwa Ibom State Territory, has officially announced the g away of her pioneer Territorial Chairman, Late Apostle (Dr) Aniekan Otumo Udoiyak.
In a press interaction with newsmen at the weekend held at the Territorial Headquarters of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Obio Imoh street, Uyo, the Acting Territorial Chairman, Apostle E. O. Uye unveiled the funeral arrangements for the late cleric.
According to him, the official opening of obsequies/mourning house will be on Sunday 8th November, 2020 at 3pm, while there’ll be a service of songs at TACN, Uruk Uso Area Temple.
Visitations by all Fields, Movements, Groups, ABC, Families, Communities, In-laws, Friends, Well-wishers, among others will hold on Monday November 9. Another service of songs will be held same day between 4pm-6pm at Ikot Ekpene Field Headquarters.
Apostle Uye who is also the Oron Field Superintendent of the Church disclosed that visitation by NEC, Territory, Government Agencies and other VIPs, including groups is billed for Tuesday November 10 from 10am to 2pm. The commendation service, according to him, will take place TACN Akwa Ibom State Territorial Headquarters, Obio Imoh Street, Uyo from 7am to 8am, while the lying-in state is slated for 9am-9.45am in his hometown, Uruk Uso in Ikot Ekpene local government area.
Wednesday November 11 is the funeral and thanksgiving service holding at Ikot Ekpene Field Headquarters starting from 10am till about 12pm, afterwhich there’ll be interment at the deceased compound same day by 12.30pm.
Described by many as a diligent and hard-working preacher of the gospel during his lifetime, the late Apostle Aniekan Udoiyak is said to have never been associated with negative reports in all his places of assignments.
Apostle Uye who was in the company of other pastors at the briefing said the late Udoiyak will be fondly remembered for the huge impact he created in the church while alive, especially but not limited to the erection of churches in Ikot Ekpene Field and other places he served.
He disclosed that a water project started by the late cleric will be named after him as a way to immortalise him.
The late Apostle Aniekan Otumo Udoiyak, the third out of ten (10) children of his parents was born on the 28th of August, 1960 to late overseer Otumo Udoiyak and Madam Nwa Otumo Udoiyak both in Uruk Uso village, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
He passed on at the age of 60 while serving as the Territorial Chairman of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State and Field Superintendent of Ikot Ekpene Field. He was a member of the National Executive Council of the Church and chaired the Finance Committee.
