QAS 92 set for 2022 reunion
Queen of Apostles’ Seminary 1992 Class (QAS 92) is set to host her reunion.
This is contained in a press release signed by the Chairman 2022 reunion committee, Hon. Kufre Osoh and made available to morenews.ng.
The release indicates that the reunion will take place on Wednesday 28th December 2022 at St. Patrick’s Parish Midim, Akwa Ibom State.
The statement reads: “Good morning dear brothers, I want to believe God, it is well with you wherever you are. Hold unto Him, and He will see you and all of us through.
“The re-union is here in few days time and it is meant for everyone of us. I am imagining us seeing every person on that day 28th December 2022 after good 30 years since we left our citadel of learning, the great QAS.
“It is going to be a great memory to re-ignite again, the bonding, the jokes, the jabs, the aging thing, and even how nature has dealt with some of us over the years. Such memory lasts a lifetime, and that moment of joy is simply invaluable. But it seems some of us do not understand nor connect to this obvious reality. Please try and be part of this epoch event. Brothers it is an appeal as we have days to this event.”
It would be recalled that at an inaugural zoom meeting of the QAS 92 class which was held on 23rd January, 2022, anchored by Engineer Patrick Ekpat, (a Lagos State based Engineer) a seven (7) man committee were appointed and tasked with the responsibility of initiating, planning and executing an inaugural re-union/get-together of the class, was set up with Hon. Kufre Osoh – Chairman; Prof. Emmanuel Udokang – Secretary; Engr. Patrick Ekpat – Member.
Others are Very Rev. Fr. Solomon Uko – Treasurer; Very Rev. Fr. Linus Idio (Fuji) – Member; Engr. Alfred Philip – Member; Dr. Uwem Etteyit – Member.
The source reveals that the idea of QAS 92 meeting was always accepted in the minds and probably at various places of discussions but this time around the idea was strongly foremost mooted and pushed out to a logical conclusion by Fr. Solomon Uko in the company of Fr. Linus Idio who is set to be the chief host.
“But why did it take so longer a time for them to unite? The simple answer is that; it’s better late than never.
“The bone of containment was well-modified as a collective desires of our distinguished colleagues in the QAS class of 92 at home and abroad.
“Among other things on the agenda and top discussions were:
-This meeting will help to create synergy and stabilize unity of purpose within QAS 92 members.
“” It will bring encouragement and perhaps relief and create positive impact among the live attendees and grace as well the souls of the faithful departed to rest in peace.
“On the whole, the meeting poises to take a positive look at her Almamata with effective support.
“As the cloud continues to hover around the QAS 92 members, the expectations and newness of seeing one on one generates apatizer for the D-Day.
“Those expected at the occasion are Dr. Uwem Etteyit coming in from United States of America, Engineer Enobong Bassey a Canadian based engineer, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Patrick Etuk from Missionary of St. Paul. Very Rev. Fr. Solomon Uko from the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja. Very Rev. Fr. Linus Idio the Chief Host at St. Patrick’s Catholic church Midim.
Others are Bishop Major Policarp Udom. Very Rev. Major Sylvester Umoh. Barrister Raymond Umoh, Barrister Patrick Mbodi, Barrister Aniefiok. Udoh. Dr. Uduak Benson from university of Calabar, Dr. Ifiok Essien. Very Rev. Fr. Cyril Udom. Very Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Inam, Engineer Patrick Ekpat Lagos based engineer, Engineer Alfred Akpan, Professor Emmanuel Udokang and host of over 62 great personalities of QAS 92.
“The chairman of planning committee Hon. Kufre Osoh calls for high degree of consciousness, full participation and prays that God keeps us alive till this day.
“28th December 2022 is not a surprising day, therefore, all QAS 92 members with resolute affirmation are giving prominence amidst high level of expectations and celebration.”
To this end, members are amicably looking forward with optimism to seeing one another after so many years. Many are anticipating assurances of outing in abundance with renewed hope, high regards and esteemed opportunities to connect into the future as QAS 92 set to host reunion.
