POST DOCTORAL: “Campus Guide” for public presentation Friday
The public is hereby invited to the post doctoral thanksgiving and presentation of public lecture on the topic “The Polemics of Free and Compulsory Education in Akwa Ibom State and the official presentation of the book titled, Campus Guide by Dr. Anietie Ekpenyong.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee , Obong Denis Nyoroh and the Committee Secretary, Elder Manasseh Umoette and made available to news men.
According to the statement, the event which is described as a way to give back to the teaming student population is billed for Friday 17th November, 2023 by 12pm prompt at the Ikot Ekpene Council Hall, Ikot Ekpene.
The statement indicates that Engr. Unwana Udoma will be the Chairman of the occasion while the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet is expected as Special Guest of Honour, the Hon. Commissioner for Labour & Manpower Planning, Mr. Aniefiok Nkom – , the State House Member for Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara State Constituency,Hon. Jerry Otu -the Vice Chancellor,Akwa Ibom State University, Prof. Nse Essien,Engr. Etido Inyang and Dr.Samuel Oworekpe will serve as Guests of Honour.
Dr Ifeoma Evan Uzoma Ejike will be the book reviewer.
Other personalities to grace the ceremony include the state Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW), Obong Uwem Imoh Inyang will serve as Chief Luncher, Engr. Nsikak Afiah – Chief Motivator, Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien,- Father of the Day while the the Paramount Ruler of Ikot Ekpene Local Government – HRH Okuku Okon Udo Ukut will serve as Royal Father of the Day, with Elder Sam E. Umoh and The Council Chairman of Ikot Ekpene, Rt. Hon. Obong Unyime Etim – serving as the Host and Chief host respectively.
The statement further calls for the physical presence of the public as the event promises to be an academic experience that will stimulate social engineering.
