Obong Udo Ekpenyong: PDP National relocates to Akwa Ibom

Some National executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are in AkwaI bom State in respect of the demise of State Chairman of the party, Obong Udo Ekpenyong.
Obong Udo Ekpenyong passed away recently after a brief struggle with COVID-19 complications.
The PDP national top notch were led by the National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus touched down at Victor Attah Int’l Airport, Uyo a moment ago.
Prince Secondus, accompanied by the National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, is in Akwa Ibom State to pay condolence to the party in the state on the demise of the state chairman, late Obong Udo Ekpenyong.
He is received by the State Executive Committee of the Party led by the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Udosen.
Also on the ground to receive the national Chairman is the former State Chairman of the party, Obong Paul Ekpo, and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen, according to the state PDP Secretariat.
Later in evening, Governor Udom Emmanuel also played host to the sypathisers that also include Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Uyo.
Prince Secondus and Governor Mohammed were in Akwa Ibom to condole with the government and people of the state on the death of four prominent indigenes of the state who died recently.
Recall that in the past few weeks, Akwa Ibom state has lost four prominent indigenes including, the first indigenous military Governor, and Chairman of PANDEF, Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (Rtd); former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Nsikak Eduok (Rtd); State PDP Chairman, Obong Hon. Udo Ekpenyong and immediate past Commissioner for Lands, Arc. Ime Ekpo.
