The Spokesman of the Etim Efiom Royal House, one of the Ancestral Clans that make up the Efik Kingdom, Mr. Essesien Bassey Etim has emphasized that their homage to the Palace of the Obong of Calabar is a clear demonstration of total allegiance and their unwavering supports to their only known Treaty and natural ruler of the Efik Eburutu kingdom, The Edidem Ekpo Okon Anasi Ofu-V.
The spokesman of the visiting House, Mr. Essesien Bassey Edem, expressed their unwavering commitment to the cause of the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, proclaiming that they had come to pledge their unyielding support towards the development of both the palace and the great Efik kingdom. He emphasized that the recent events have instilled a sense of unity among the Efik community worldwide.
However, he implored for enhanced collaboration amongst them to thwart any potential disruptions caused by outsiders.
The palace of the Obong of Calabar after the last Supreme Court ruling in recent months has continued to recieved esteemed guests for in a show of solidarity towards the newly selected and proclaimed monarch, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, who has rightfully ascended to the revered throne of the Efiks, following the landmark Supreme Court judgement.
In a demonstration of profound reverence and steadfast allegiance to the illustrious Obong of Calabar, the esteemed Etim Efiom Royal House has gracefully availed themselves to pay homage to the reigning monarch of the Efik Eburutu Kingdom.
During their visit, they unequivocally pledged their unwavering support and unblemished loyalty to the revered king, whilst unequivocally acknowledging the inimitable Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V as the one and only authentic Treaty King of Efik Kingdom.
In his reaction, The Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, has advised the Etim Effiom Royal House to maintain a harmonious and cohesive existence, given the tumultuous nature of the world. He emphasized that unity is the key to triumph over any obstacle or challenge that may arise.
