Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) is set to host Akwa Ibom Youth Peace Summit 2020
The event which is coming up on Thursday, 29 October 2020 will take place at EEMJM Hotel and Suits, Uyo by 11:30am
A release signed by the Chairman, Barr Aniekan Etim indicates that the theme of the summit is “The Role of the Youth on Peaceful Elections, Social Cohesion and Sustainable Developmen in Akwa Ibom”.
The release invites all youths in Akwa Ibom State to attend the summit.
While noting that the event is sponsored through the sacrifice of some members of the youth group Etim called on government and peace loving individuals to support them to achieve more for Akwa Ibom youth
The president stated that the summit is aiming at repositioning the mindset of Akwa Ibom youth and also educate them more on the need to always maintain peace, adding that without peace no meaniful development can take place.
“Propagating peace at this time is the best thing the youth can ever think of, considering the recent peaceful protest across the country, which was later highjacked though peace have been restored,” he remarked.
