Niger Delta Youths warn detractors to allow Sen Akpabio concentrate on service delivery
The Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has been applauded by youths in the Niger Delta Region under the auspices of Niger Delta Progressives Movement (NDPM) for introducing Strategic Implementation Work Plan (SIWP), saying the plan is a noble ideal and the most desirable goal in the region’s development strategies.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of Niger Delta Progressives Movement (NDPM), Mr Julius Ita in Port Harcourt by the who lauded, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, for adopting the right approach to implementing president Buhari’s policies by respecting the opinions of the Niger Delta people and also lifting the yoke of corruption in NDDC.
The youth stated that SIWP will ensure rapid development of the Niger Delta Region, describing the plans as the best policy by the Niger Delta Affairs Ministry
The described Senator Godswill Akpabio as a blessing to Nigeria for installing the culture of transparency and accountability in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The statement emphasized Akpabio’s approach to Niger Delta development, including a vision of what a great Niger Delta of the future should look like and an end to NDDC’s theft of national resources.
The youth denounced the remarks of Ijaw Interest Advocates and Niger Delta People’s Forum as “irresponsible, parochial, and utter rubbish.” according to a letter signed by Mr Julius Ita, Chairman of the Niger Delta Progressives Movement (NDPM).

The youths hailed Akpabio for motivating the people of the Niger Delta, guiding the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) down a path that was approved by all parties involved, and working harder to develop the region.

Akpabio’s integrity, commitment to the region’s development priorities, and exceptional job performance were also highlighted in the statement.

They implored President Muhammadu Buhari to disregard the advice of the Ovie of Idjerhe kingdom, Arerebo Yerinmene, IIA Coordinator, and NDPF Chairman, Chief Boma Ebiakpo.
The group also asked them to follow the development principle of promoting the previous governor of Akwa-Ibom State’s positive attributes.
