NAWOJ: Akwa Ibom NUJ congratulates newly elected Secretary General
The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council, has rejoiced with Comrade Helen Udofa, on her election into the National Executive of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, again, this time as National Secretary.
In a congratulatory message entitled ‘INDEED, THE VICTORY BELONGS TO GOD” and signed by Comrade Amos Etuk, State Chairman and Comrade Dominic Akpan, State Secretary, the Akwa Ibom NUJ deecribed the victory as well deserved.
The message of felicitation reads:
“The election of Comrade Udofa, is not only well deserved, having served meritoriously as Assistant National Secretary, but an acknowledgement of her unwavering commitment to the activities of NUJ and NAWOJ.
“Indeed, ‘the horse was made ready for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord,” Proverbs 21:31.
“In a special way, we thank the State leadership of NAWOJ, led by Comrade Uduak Ekong and all the delegates from Akwa Ibom State as well as others from the South-South Zone and across the country for their support to Comrade Udofa.
“We cannot fail to mention the support of our legends, Mrs. Margaret Edem, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development; Comrade Comfort Umanah, State Vice-Chairman, NUJ, Comrade Nene Affia; among others who were on ground in Minna, Niger State to drive the success of this historic election.
“In Comrade Udofa’s election, the NUJ in Akwa Ibom State is on a solid ground to move into national prominence.

The leadership and Congress of AkwaIbom NUJ had earlier endorsed the candidacy of Comrade Helen Udofa ahead of the NAWOJ election in Minna, Nigerians State.
