Ini Ememobong extols Onofiok Luke on leadership qualities, attainments

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong has extolled the sterling Leasership qualities and outstanding performance of the member, representing Etinan/Nsit Ibom/ Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency in the federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Barr. Onofiok Luke.
The Commissioner gave the commendation on Thursday, 11th November, 2020, during a courtesy visit on him by members of the King’s Bench Law Society Of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Branch, in his office in Uyo, the state capital.
The Information Boss emphasized that Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke has demonstrated immense capacity for quality leadership through effective representation of the people of the Federal Constituency and called on members of the King’s Bench to beam more light into the performance of the Federal Lawmaker in order to celebrate his humongous contributions toward the development and advancement of the legal profession.
He said: ” I am particularly excited about the quality of younger benchers like: Rt Hon. Onofiok Luke, because he is the most shining star that the bench has produced in contemporary times, having served as a two-term member of the State House of Assembly, a Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, a member of the Federal House of Representative and the Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, and interestingly too, he is a distinguished bencher, and so there is every reason to organise a dinner and celebrate him for these achievements.’
Comrade Ini Ememobong stated that it is in celebrating the successes of benchers that many others would be inspired to aim higher in their legal practice, reiterating that, the celebration of God’s grace upon the life of every member of the bench, was one effective way to attract God’s grace to the bench for the benefits of all the members.
The state’s spokesman charged members of the Kings Bench to engage more in community development services, particularly activities that would further improve the quality of life in the society as well as dignify humanity in general.
“I am a proponent of humanising of the law profession by taking into account the present day realities. We need the bench’s opinion to sensitise the people on legal matters, we want your take on National issues in order to deepen the development of the law profession in country,” Ini Ememobong said.
He stressed that the King’s Bench was rich in intellectual resources and numerical strength, therefore its opinion on national issues will be very impactful and expressed optimism that the group would continue to be of service to the academia, the legal profession and the society in general .
Presenting a Goodwill Message on behalf of the group, the leader and the 17th Lord Chancellor, His Eminence, Hilary Joseph, commended the state Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the appointment of Comrade Ini Ememobong, who he described as a thoroughbred professional and hard working individual who upholds professionalism in all his endeavours .
While congratulating Comr Ememobong on his 100 Days in Office, Lord Joseph said the group was not surprised at his elavation to the position of a Commissioner and described him as a man of immense intellectual capacity and an excellent performer.
He used the occasion to intimate the Commissioner of the laudable programmes initiated by the group and solicited his support towards the seamless execution of its forthcoming charity project on school campuses across the state.
The 17th Chancellor hinted that the group was set to organize an Essay Writing Competition between law students and students of other faculties, embark on visitation to orphanages and also mobilise donation of study materials to the Law Faculty at the University of Uyo.
Present at the event were: the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Inyang Jameson, the Director of Information, Akparawa James Edet, the Director of Public Relations, Mrs. Grace Akpan and the Director of Administration/ supplies, Mrs. Tiuba Nduonofit. Others were, the Head, Research , Planning and Statistics, Mr. Peter Antai, the Head of Finance & Account, Mrs. Glory Usoroh and the Assistant Director in-charge of Ikot Ekpene Zone/ Commissioner’s Office, Mr. Aniekan Ukpong.
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a giant size portrait and a Goodwill message to the Hon. Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong.
