Ikot Ekpene PDP Chapter Chairman for burial Friday
The remains of the Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP Ikot Ekpene, Late Chief Andrew Ekerette Udo shall be laid to rest on Friday,9th December,2022 by 10am at Nyara Enyin Ikot Nkpo, Amanyam Clan, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the eldest son of the deceased, Mr.Oliver Andrew Ekerette and the Chairman of the funeral planning committee, Professor Nse Essien and made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, burial activities are as follows: opening of mourning house takes place on Monday,5th December at the deceased country home,Nyara Enyin Ikot Nkpo, Ikot Ekpene, Tuesday 6th over Thursday 8th December, condolence visits by friends, associates and groups.Friday 9th December will be interment after a funeral service to be conducted by St. Joseph Quasi Parish, Abiakpo Ntak Inyang by 10am at the deceased compound.
The statement indicates that Late Chief Andrew Ekerette died at the age of 58 after a brief illness.Late Chief Andrew Ekerette,the statement added lived a life of service to God and humanity.
Until his death,he was a community leader, business mogul, philanthropist and politician. He was the Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ikot Ekpene Chapter until his demise.
The late Chief Andrew Ekerette is survived by a wife,7children-3 males and 4 females and a host of other relatives to mourn his exit.
The statement invites friends, associates,the PDP family and all well wishers to the funeral.
