-Ijongo Foundation donates facemasks to Akwa Ibom State Police.
A Non Governmental Organization in the state, Ijongo Life Changing Foundation (ILCF) has donated branded facemasks to Akwa Ibom State Police Command to help curb the spread of coronavirus.
Presenting the facemasks recently to the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), CSP Nnudam Fredrick who received the package on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the President of ILCF, Mr Emmanuel Ijongo said the gesture was part of its contributions to contain the spread of of the deadly disease among the police force in the state.
While commending Akwa Ibom State Police Command for their efforts to fighting crime and maintaining order in the state, Ijongo expressed willingness of the NGO to partner the police to reduce crime rate in the state.
He thanked the Commissioner for accepting to partner the NGO in the quest to eradicate crime and the promise to assist them achieve their goals.
Receiving the facemasks on behalf of the commissioner of police, CP Imohimi Edgal, the PPRO, CSP Nnudam Fredrick thanked the NGO for the donation, describing it as a very thoughtful gesture.
Fredrick expressed the hope that with donation of the facemasks, the police will be safe and not affected by the disease in the course of performing their lawful duties.
He assured that the facemasks “will be distributed to our men who are on the front lines enforcing COVID-19 protocols across the state.
Ijongo Life Changing Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organisation initiated for the rehabilitation of homeless teenagers as well as redeemable criminals on the streets.
As part of its activities, the NGO has the desire to counsel the affected youths, help them discover their talents, sponsor them through vocational trainings and make them better citizens in the society.
Its mission is to eradicate crime and drug abuse among Nigerian youths through regular counselling, vocational training and talent promotion.
