He said as he had changed the fortunes of Lagosians during his time as a governor for two terms he believes he can translate the same to Nigeria if given the mandate in 2023.
His words, “Having been a successful governor in Lagos state for two terms, and since 1999 we have never lost one election.
Because we sore the progress, we meant progress. One of the youngest that I recruited as a PA is today the governor of Lagos state. That is how to live a life of achievement.
The man I recruited to become the Anthony General is now the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The man I recruited as a Chief of Staff is now a minister of Works and Housing.
The man I recruited to be a Personal Assistant is now a minister of Internal Affairs.
He also said, “It takes a brain and good knowledge, and development to change things around”
Here I want to make a promise to you, delegates just vote for me, vote for success, vote for prosperity, vote for the man who knows the road.
I promise you, that we will create jobs, we will rehabilitate those who are displaced by Bakassi, and we will create channels to service the port of Calabar.
You see PDP want to come back just don’t vote for them. You see for 16 years the electricity is not still stable.
I describe PDP as Termites and also referred to the party as the Poverty Development Party. Get that right” he said.
In his remarks, the state of APC, Barr. Alphonso Eba described Asiwaju Tinubu as the political grandfather of APC.
He informs the Cross River delegates, “Nigeria needs a man who can create life, the man who can change the narrative of insecurity, the man who can change the fortunes of our economy around, we need a man who can create jobs for our people.
I strongly believe that Tinubu is that man we need. Therefore, l stand here today and call on you all to vote for him as the flag bearer of our great party” the chairman said.
