How Senator Prince Bassey Otu emerges Cross River APC Guber Candidate
Senator Prince Bassey Otu, a former Senator who represented Cross River’s southern senatorial district has emerged as the APC governorship candidate in the free and fair delegates’ election.
The delegate’s election was conducted. Friday, 26th May 2022 at the N.U J Esuene Stadium.
Declaring the result of the governorship delegates‘ election, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee Panel.
Alhaji Mohammed Makolo announced that, out of 980 delegates who were cleared for the delegates poll, Barr Chris Agara scored 63 votes, and Senator Owan Enoh gathered 84 votes.
While Senator Prince Bassey Otu scored 811 votes to become the Cross River State APC flag bearer in the 2023 governorship election.
In his acceptance speech, Senator Otu thanked the state governor, Senator Ben Ayade, the state APC chairman, Barr Alphonsus Eba, and the delegates for the support accorded him, stressing that he did not spend a dime for the delegates, yet they supported him to emerge victorious and promise to carry everyone along If he subsequently wins in 2023.
