Guber 2023: More PDP delegates root for Umo Eno
As part of last minutes preparation ahead Wednesday, 25th Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries more delegates of the party have thrown weight behind Pastor Umo Eno for the party’s ticket.
On Tuesday, 17th May 2023 some delegates of the party under umbrella of Grassroots Mass Mobilizers (GMM) gathered in Uyo to affirmed their determination to queue behind Pastor Umo Eno ahead the forthcoming party’s governorship primaries.
Speaking during at the gathering, leaders of the delegates from the three Senatorial Districts of Ikot Ekpene, Uyo and Eket lauded the sterling qualities of Pastor Umo Eno and pledged total support to him.
Pastor Stella Umoh who spoke on behalf of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District delegates said: “I have known Pastor Umo Eno to be someone who has a heart of compassion for people.
“He has been creating jobs for the unemployed and this is the kind of a leader we want. We are supporting him because we believe that after he gets our mandate, he will not stop doing the good work he has been known for.””
Representing Uyo senatorial district delegates, Hon. Ukpong Michael, Ibiakpan Obotim Ward 2, Nsit Ubium LGA, said the decision for Uyo Senatorial District delegates to back Pastor Umo Eno was irreversible. He assured others that the only candidate to vote for at the Guber primary who will not fail the delegates while in office, was Pastor Umo Eno.
Mr. Emmanuel Udofot reaffirmed the stance of Eket Senatorial District delegates to give hundred percent of their votes to Pastor Umo Eno and appreciated the leadership of GMM for their foresight in routing for Pastor Umo Eno.
The delegates amongst GMM pledged their full support to Pastor Umo Eno.
The meeting was hosted at the instance of the President of GMM, Hon. Uduak Monday Isaiah and was presided over by Pastor John Archibong as the president was unavoidably absent. The secretary of the GMM, Comrade Andikan Umoren appreciated the delegates for their commitment and support to the cause of Pastor Umo Eno, whom they unanimously lauded in glowing terms.
The GMM meeting was also graced by some centra leaders of the Fathers in Faith for Good Governance, the Secretary General, Rev. Ima Nkanta and Director of Mobilization and Strategy, Bishop Dr. Hilkiah Eliathah, who also acknowledged the determination of Pastor Umo Eno to change the narrative of governance and encouraged the delegates who came out in numbers to stand their ground as the future was brighter with Pastor Umo Eno.
