One of the vibrant sons of Akwa Ibom State and the progenitor of Social ideology Governance, Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok has promised to serve the people of Akwa Ibom as their servant leader if he elected Governor 2023.
Arc. Nya-Etok disclosed this in a media chat to newsmen in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital immediately after his official registration into African Democratic Party (ADC),on Wednesday, at Akwa Ibom State Secretariat.
The National Chairman of the Party, High Chief Raphs Nwosu frowned that Nigerians are tired of APC and PDP, added that, they are ready to take third force which is (ADC) revolution as a relaible alternative in 2023 serious.
Nwosu also disclosed that ADC in all elections conducted in Nigeria even in 2019, ADC came third. He also stated that; currently the Party has no councilors, Local Government Chairmen, representatives in State Houses of Assembly and National Assembly in the thirty-six States.
Speaking further, Chief Nwosu admonished youths in the State to join the campaign of third force revolution in Nigeria which is ADC to salvage Nigeria from what he described as “artificial scarcity, insecurity and hunger currently prevailing in Nigeria”.
The National Chairman also presented ADC membership card to Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok. Chief Nwosu also commissioned the State Party Secretariat located at No.6 Bassey Esau Street Off Aka Itiam Street, Uyo. empathizing that, “the tone for third force campaign in Akwa Ibom State is fully set”.
In his words, Arc. Nya-Etok lamented about the unfortunate system of governance in the State leads to unbreakable bound of dependency of youths, instead of creating avenues for youth in the State to succeed and also become independent.
He also maintained that, political machineries in Akwa Ibom State are strategizing unceasing on possible avenues towards ensuring that present generations of youths and even next generation remain dormant so that they can used them as thugs in elections.
“Let me tell you the truth that the system of governance in the State do not want youths to grow.
“They are building foundation for youths that will depend on them forever.
“They want youths who will be begging them for what ever they want and they will give them peanuts as rewards for their loyalty.
“They want to make sure that youths consistently begged for money to go to school, begged for money to marry after school and also begged for money to train their own children.
“This system is building a serious bond of dependency of youths that will be very hard to break”, Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok lamented.
He promised to end street begging as well as planning on the future of Akwa Ibom youths, while also expressed optimism that ADC will take over Akwa Ibom State in 2023, The Social Governance advocate promised to operate community driven and youths oriented government come 2023 if elected.
The ADC governorship hopeful promised to create forth tier of government in Akwa Ibom State if elected, which according to him, the fourth tier of government will be government at the wards level, stating that, wards in the State will get money direct from State Government account to run their affairs.
“Governance is all about innovation and creativity. I will create “forth tier of government” in the State to bring governance to the grassroots. This shall be done by making wards to become another tier of government.
“To make this idea work, I will select retired government officials and retired security personnel as the head of this government.
“They will report directly to the Office of the Governor on whatever challenge they are facing in their respective wards.
“By so doing, I can tell you that projects of the government in those areas will be protected, and security of lives and properties will be enhanced. People can sleep with their two eyes closed.
“This is how to fight insecurity. It is only when security of lives and property is guaranteed, this is when investors can come in and invest.
“You cannot talk about industrialization when some parts of the State are not secured”. He said.
Nya-Etok appreciates the officials of ADC for accepting him to join the Party, added that, they are the only party that is inline with his ideologies and directions.
He further described ADC as a Party whose DNA is full with competency, accountability and integrity, stating that the Party’s virtues are what woos him into the Party.
Also speaking, the State Chairman of ADC, Mr. Utip Etiebet described Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok as A1 candidates Party has captured in the State. Pointing out that Nya-Etok is a man that believes vehemently on endless potentials and capacity of youths to lead. He assured national exco of the Party that youths and entire Akwa Ibom people will vote for ADC come 2023.
He solicited the support of Akwa Ibom people to ensure that Nya-etok is elected into office to ease the suffering of the poor masses.
