Inyieng inaugurates mandate secretariat for Ukanafun Restoration 2020
As the Akwa Ibom local government elections gather momentum everyday, one of the frontline chairmanship aspirants in Ukanafun under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Godwin Inyieng has revealed his three point agenda for the development of Ukanafun if elected into office.
The three cardinal points of his administration according to the aspirant includes restoration of peace to Ukanafun, sustainable development through human empowerment.
Inyieng who stated this during the official commissioning of his Divine Mandate Campaign office in Ikot Akpannkuk, Ukanafun LGA, added that his. administration will bring prosperity to the people and also made life better for them.
While noting that his aspiration was borned out of the passion to serve the people, Inyieng assured them that his administration will grade roads in the area and made them motorable and also ensure that every community is connected to the national grid.
Inyieng also assured the people that youths in Ukanafun will be given scholarship to different level of education while others will be encouraged to learn trade if he emerge as the next chairman of Ukanafun while stressing that education brings light and development.
He noted that the secretariat will serve as a rallying point for the people even after the elections. “This is where ideas will be incubated and cooked for the general good of Ukanafun people,” he said.
While consulting the party, the aspirant described himself as “the most loyal party man,” who has stood with the party in difficult times and in good times. He solicited the support of the party to emerge as the next chairman of the council so as to restore the past glory of Ukanafun.
Also speaking, the Director General of the “Ukanafun Restoration 2020” Barr Idongesit Umo who described the aspirant as the light that has come to Ukanafun called on the people to support the aspiration of Pastor Godwin Inyieng for graasroot development and improved social welfare.
According to him, Inyieng is highly favoured by the zoning arrangement of the area and he also has the pedigree to occupy the most revered and coveted seat in the area.
The former member, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, commended the state governor, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for insisting on adherence to the zoning formular of the party while congratulating Obong Udo Ekpenyong for emerging as the party State Chairman.
A frontline, party stalwart in the area, Obonganwan Iniobong Akonko called on the women of the area to rally around adopt Godwin Inyieng as their candidate and ensure that he succeed in the forthcoming party primaries and the main elections for improved welfare of the women.
She noted that the aspirant deserve the party’s ticket to contest for the chairmanship seat of the area as he has demonstrated loyalty to the party and also worked for the success of the party.
Responding, the PDP chapter Chairman in Ukanafun, Mr Godwin Ekpe assured the aspirant that the party will give every aspirant level playing ground during the party’s primaries and will also ensure that justice is done.
He charged him to continue to follow the party’s guideline as the party will support any aspirant that will emerge as the party’s flag bearer.
