Federal Polytechnic, Ukana: Unveiling the Chairman, Governing Council, Chief Abdullahi Yemi Sanusi anusi
Chief Abdulahi Yemi Sanusi is an astute businessman and politician who has carved an undisputable niche of credibility and trust for himself.
He voluntarily bowed out of civil service some three decades ago under the Department of Statistics, Ministry of Economic Planning and Reconstruction. Thereafter, he went into full time Building/Civil Engineering and Merchandising business. Till date, he is The Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Akin & Sanusi Co LTD.
Since then, he has ventured into politics. His first shot at political party management was in the days of the defunct Nigerian Advance Party (NAP) in 1982, where he was elected Ogun State Secretary. He at another time was the Chairman of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) in Odeda Local Government.
His political journey had attracted a lot of assignments to him on the party line. This ranged from State Secretary of defunct Democratic Party of Nigeria DPN 1987, Ogun State Chairman of defunct All People’s Party (APP) 1989, National Welfare Secretary of defunct All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) 2003-2016, National Vice Chairman (ANPP) 2007-2013 He’s also a pioneer executive member of the National Interim Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2013- 2014 and currently the State Chairman of Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC). 2018- date.
He is currently the Chairman of Ogun State Housing Corporation and also the Chairman Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Akwa Ibom State.
Chief Yemi Sanusi, as he’s fondly called, marks his birthday on the 23rd of every November and amongst several chieftaincy titles, he is Aare of Iporo Egba-Alake and the Otun of Orile Ilugun, to mention but a few. He’s widely travelled whether it’s for business or leisure adventures.
He is happily married with children who are successful in their various fields of endeavour. His hobbies are playing table tennis and travelling.
