Fed Poly Ukana Acting Rector tasks staff on hard-work
The Acting Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Dr. Mrs. Mercy Ebong has charged staff of the institution to be hardworking and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.
Addressing staff of the institution at the 250 Capacity Lecture Theatre of the Polytechnic, Dr. Ebong , charged staff to put more effort in their work in order to achieve greater result as her administration has zero tolerance for idleness.
In her words ” this is a new era, every hand needs to be on deck if this institution must attain greater heights. So, I charge you stick to your job schedule and be productive as this administration frowns at any form of idleness”.
According Dr. Ebong, her administration will operate an open door policy which will give all staff equal opportunity to partake in the governance of the institution.
She, however, noted that her administration will not tolerate from any staff any behaviour that will result to strife among members of the Polytechnic community. She encouraged all staff to work in love and unity.
In a bid to uphold her promise of an open door policy, Dr. Mercy Ebong had an interactive session with staff and gave the opportunity to staff to make observations and ask questions which she took her time to answer. While answering one of the questions asked by a staff, she reiterated that the institution is making serious effort in the area of staff and students’ welfare.
In a vote of thanks, the Registrar of the Polytechnic, Dr. Okon J. Ekanem who was represented by the Deputy Registrar, Mr. Jeremiah Akpabio, thanked everyone for attending the event. He appealed for the cooperation of staff to ensure productivity.
