Essien Udim Former Council Chairman, ALUKO, Wife Bag Ph.D
The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has hailed Dr. Anthony Luke (ALUKO), immediate past chairman of Essien Udim LGA and his wife, Umoh on their conferment of Doctoral Degrees in International Relations and Public Administration respectively by the University of Uyo.
The former governor gave the felicitation at the graduation reception in their honour in Uyo after their convocation ceremony at the University of Uyo on Saturday, 9th November 2024.
The former Governor who was represented by his wife commended Dr. Anthony Luke and his wife, Dr Umoh for their dedication and perseverance throughout their academic journey noting that he was glad to share in the joy of their academic achievement and wished them well in their endeavours in life.
While lauding the couple for inspiring and encouraging each other, the former governor emphasized the importance of mutual support among spouses and charged them to pass on these values to their children.
In response, Dr. Anthony Luke, immediate past Council Chairman of Essien Udim LGA expressed deep gratitude to the former governor for his show of love, unflinching support and mentorship, attributing his successes in both politics and academic to the former governor’s fatherly care and love.
“Sir, thank you for believing in me when others despised me. Thank you for your love and thank you for always supporting me and my family. Sir, without you and God, I would not have achieved what I’ve achieved today,” Dr. Luke remarked
The reception was a vibrant gathering of family, friends, political allies and well-wishers who came together to celebrate the couple’s remarkable accomplishments.
