Essien Udim Council boss bags Outstanding Leadership Award
In recognition of his outstanding performance, the Chairman, Essien Udim Local Government Council, Mr Anthony Luke, has been honoured with an award of excellence by the Local Government Information CHAPEL (LOGIC), Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council.
The Award according to the Chapel’s Chairman, Comrade Roselyn Etokudoh, is an acknowledgement of Mr Anthony Luke’s stride in less than one hundred days in office.
The Chapel thanked the Chairman for his contributions towards the success of the maiden press week of the Chapel and production of the first edition of News31 newspaper, the pet project of the Chapel.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Essien Udim Local Government Council, Mr Anthony Luke expressed gratitude to the union for their support to his administration through their balanced and objective reportage of events and programmes of the Council.
Luke who was represented at the event by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Edidiong Idemokon, restated his administration’s commitment towards the welfare of staff in the council, pledging his continuous support to Chapel.
The Essien Udim Chairman dedicated the award to God, Governor Emmanuel whom he described as a game changer and the entire people of Essien Udim who gave him the mandate to serve them as executive chairman.
