The Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority,(UCCDA), Prince Enobong Uwah, has donated a church building and a house single-handedly built by him to mark his 52nd Birthday.
Uwah donated the house to Mrs Bessie Ben, a widow from Atan Offot in Uyo Local Government Area, whose house was gutted by fire on the 10th August, 2020.
The beneficiary of the house, Mrs Bessie Ben, after narrating how hopeless and homeless she was when her house was burnt down, thanked God and Mr Uwah for the gesture, praying God to reward and replenish him abundantly for providing a roof over her head. T
wife of the state governor, Dr Martha Udom Emmanuel expressed joy at the development.
Speaking through the Coordinator, FEYReP, Mrs Ime Inyangeyen, commended government for choosing the right representives to help in piloting the affairs of the state.
She commended Prince Uwah for his benevolence and encouraged the people of Attan Offot to be grateful to God for having a selfless leader in government, who puts the plights of his people first even before himself.
In her words:
“Prince Enobong Uwah, on behalf of Her Excellency, thank you for showing an example of what a good representative should be.”
She equally thanked Uwah and wife, Mrs Inemesit Uwah for keying into the vision of Governor Udom Emmanuel and Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel- wife of the Governor.
Speaking, Prince Uwah appreciated the Governor for blessing him, which has enabled him to extend same to the people.
He also appreciated those who assisted in the building project.
Still in the euphoria of the celebration, Uwah redeemed the pledge he made during his 51st Birthday last year by handing over a new church he built for Living Faith Church.
The 250-seater capacity well-furnished church facility situated at Atan Offot, Prince Uwah said, is a way of appreciating God’s blessings and faithfulness over the years.
In appreciation, the State Pastor of Living Faith Church, Pastor Triumphant Obamoh, who consecrated the Church, thanked Uwah for his generosity, stating that, the greatest investment is investing in God, adding, if one does not invest in the Kingdom, such fellow is yet to know the importance of doing so.
The event was well attended by personalities within and outside the state.
