Counselling For All Foundation sets to host youth summit in Akwa Ibom
A Non-government organisation under the auspices of Counselling For All Foundation (CAF) in conjunction with the Church of Christ 144 Aka Road, Uyo is set to host their first christian youth summit in Uyo.
A Statement signed by CAF President, Mr Udemeh King, the summit which is tagged: “Getting it Right” will take place on Friday, 20th November 2020 by 4pm at the worship auditorium of Church of Christ 144 Aka Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State
According to Mr King, the theme was carefully chosen to meet the needs of young Christians and to also help them to get it right where they may have gotten it wrong in their relationships, sex and marriage.
While stating that the summit will feature keynote and brainstorming session, he added that at the end of the event a communique containing all the issues that will be raised during the interactive session will be published and made available to all participants via links to serve as a guide.
The statement reads in parts: “In the cause of attending to numerous marital counselling, we obserbed the foundational challenges which has led many relationship to crash.
“Many youths are carried away by fantasies as well as societal misinformation, especially on the social media and movies. These have seriously affected the home (family), the school, church, and the society at large.
“We aim to catch them young for a better society and church.
“At the end of this youth summit, we intend to create a social media platform for counselling, forum spouse’s match making and one on one counselling at our office at 283 Nwaniba road.”
Mr King noted that Counselling For All Foundation is a non-profit organization seeking to help people do things in the right perspective in other to get the right results.
He added that the social media platform that will be created will serve as a channel where people can seek counsel from members of the body.
