Buhari appoints Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua Acting Managing Director of NDDC
Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve as the interim managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, or NDDC.
This comes after Mr. Effiong Akwa’s resignation as the board’s interim administrator on Tuesday.
The announcement of the appointment was made in a letter obtained by Morenews.ng and signed by Umana Okon Umana, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
According to the letter, “President Buhari has additionally approved that the most senior director in the commission should assume and carry out the responsibilities of the managing director in an acting capacity in accordance with the extant Federal Government Circular Ref No. SGF.50/S.II/C.2/268.”
Emmanuel was instructed to carry out the managing director’s responsibilities until a real NDDC board was being formed.
