Akwa Ibom State Govt, UNICEF sign 2021/2022 Workplan
…Plan covers Health, Nutrition, Child Protection and Social Protection
A Multi-million naira workplan has been signed between the Akwa Ibom State Goveqrnment and the United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF).
The workplan, it is said will cover donor development programmes for year 2021/2022 in Akwa Ibom State and will be jointly funded by the Akwa Ibom State Government and the United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF).
The event which held at the United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF) Field Office, Rivers States also had Government officials from Bayelsa, Rivers and Delta states.
The Senior Special Assistant/Coordinator, Akwa Ibom State Department of Multilateral and Donor Agencies, Mr. Ndiana-Abasi Udom who signed the document on behalf of the State Government said, the multi-million naira workplan is as approved by Governor Udom Emmanuel with dedicated counterpart funds and will cater for the Health, Nutrition, Child protection and Social protection needs of people across the thirty one (31) Local Government Areas of the state.
According to Mr. Ndiana-Abasi Udom, the signed programme workplan is in furtherance of the various people-centred programmes and projects of Governor Emmanuel administration in Akwa Ibom State.
