Dr. Luke praised Governor Eno for his impactful administration, which according to him has prioritized infrastructure, agriculture, and basic social amenities in rural areas as encapsulated in the ARISE Agenda of his administration.
“The Chairman of Ikot Ekpene would not be able to achieve this in a few months without the magnanimity of the governor who ensured that the local government councils are adequately funded. So, Your Excellency, ALGON appreciates you and we are ready to work with you for the success of your government,” Dr. Luke stated.
Dr. Luke also commended Sir John Cleton for his impressive performance in Ikot Ekpene, noting that his commitment and capacity have led to significant achievements in a short period. “ALGON is proud of you”
He expressed confidence that given more time and support, Sir Cleton would continue to excel in his administration.
Governor Umo Eno, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt. Hon. Frank Archibong, lauded Sir John Cleton Etim for adding value to governance by implementing life-touching projects and impactful programmes in the local government area.
The governor encouraged the people to embrace the agricultural revolution of Governor Umo Eno, emphasizing its importance for achieving food security and economic stability in the state.
In his opening remarks, Sir John Cleton Etim explained that the motivation behind the project was to provide a suitable office accommodation for marriage registrations and other events within the local government area.
According to the chairman, the construction of the multi-purpose edifice, with a seating capacity of 100 which commenced in February, 2024 is designed not only to serve as a marriage registry but also as a commercial event center, capable of generating revenue for the local government.
