ENGR EMEM COFFIE, the ACCORD PARTY GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE is here to change the narratives of AGRICULTURE through AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION in Akwa Ibom state. A Revolution that will encompasses but not limited to modernized animal husbandry, fishery, large scale cultivation of cash crops, waste management and components for all the Local government areas. COFFIE’S AGRICULTURAL BLUEPRINT is strategically developed to provide business opportunities to rural and urban dwellers that will guarantee hundreds of permanent jobs. It will also encourage the provisions of ancillary and auxiliary services to be complimented with upstream and downstream components like investors and off-taker partnerships operating across the state.

His administration’s overarching goals in the AGRICULTURAL sector will ensure and insure SELF-SUFFICIENCY in the numerous food crops and livestock that will instigate the reduction in food prices.
AGRICULTURAL raw materials for Agro-allied food industries will be made readily available and accessible for investors.

The ACCORD PARTY GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE, EMEM COFFIE cardinal policies involves the relaunching of some of the community smallholder’s schemes, repurposed to access and culivate large hectares of high yielding improved varieties of cash crops like Cassava, Oil Palm, Banana etc. in all the Local government areas.

His blueprint also includes the establishment of at least one community-owned primary agro-processing- based cottage industry in each local government area of the state based on the prevailing and predominantly agricultural products there-in.

Basically, LAND ACQUISITION, environmental stewardship and the provision of low-interest loans accessible to investors interested in establishing commercial tracts of land for Agricultural purposes in the 3 senatorial districts is paramount in COFFIE’S AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION. He will create a synergy between research and industry by establishing AGRICULTURAL Research Centres. AKADEP and the Universities will form the pilot center for the development of high-yielding diseases-resistance seedlings and livestock breeds.

Within COFFIE’S blueprint, the value chain strategies will prevent farmers exploitation by middlemen while providing modern farmer insurance products.
COFFIE’S score-card within the first 12 months will improve Land utilization by over 1000% improving our yield-profit per kilometer from N12,000,000 to about N120,000,000 and that will propel Akwa Ibom to rank amongst the most agricultural productive state.

This will result in a turn-around in AGRICULTURAL businesses with success rates that will ensure an investment-attractive AGRICULTURAL sector in our dear state.
