The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has agreed to conditionally suspend the industrial action embarked upon since March 23,2020 after their Tuesday meeting with Federal Government representatives.
ASSU President, Biodun Ogunyemi who made the announcement during a press briefing at Abuja on Wednesday said the suspension takes effect from Thursday, 24th December 2020
The Union noted that if government renege on their agreement they will embark on another round of strike without notice adding that the union is not tired going on strike.
The Union pay tribute to some of their members who loss their lives during the struggle and warned government against victimizing their members who embarked on the strike.
