Tinubu: Let the best man get 2023 Presidency
As Igbo man stirs up strong debate for Tinubu.
Do not refuse a wing to the person who gave you a full chicken-African Proverb.
One good turn they say deserves another, an Igbo man has stirred a heated controversy on the popular social media platform, Whatsapp.
According to the man whoever is the best man for the job should be allowed to take over the mantle of leadership from Buhari irrespective of whichever geographical region he comes from.
The young man by name Chika Okafor opined that what Nigeria needs right now is visionary and practical leadership and not leadership of ethic and regional predisposition.
He further made his points succinct when he said of all the perceived individuals propping up for the presidency the cap best fits Tinubu.
His arguments and points held the group spellbound for hours with many members disagreeing to agree with his submissions.
Nigeria he says can only move forward when concerted efforts are made in making the country move forward.
“The quality of a leader Nigeria needs urgently is beyond what a novice can handle, the attributes can’t be possessed overnight.
Nigeria will be great only if we Nigerians are all ready to contribute our quota as well, it’s beyond voting alone, but the type of candidate we will put in office.
God has implanted all the good qualities of a great leader that can take Nigeria to the promised land in one person, he is Dr Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
His credentials as an excellent manager of both human and economic resources would certainly help Nigeria navigate complex and dangerous challenges.
Speaking on power rotation and the turn of the South-East, Mr Okafar said further.
“What we need right now is our best hands and not tribal or regional leadership that would take us nowhere. We must appreciate the fact that Nigeria is a complex nation and only a patriotic individual that is practical and visionary can steer the nation to the promised land.
Recall an interview granted Harrison Ford back in the days when cars were just invented, he said: “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”
Ford understood the pulse of people thinking. He started working on people’s demand for new technology on faster machine-made carts and immediately set to work in achieving that.
That is the kind of pragmatic leadership Tinubu represents.
If we take a sample of all the likely presidential aspirants from the South-East and other regions tell me which is close to having a robust and enviable profile like Tinubu?
You must be a household name to win presidential elections, Tinubu has earned it and deserves to be president.
Today take it or leave it Tinubu is credited in entrenching democracy in Nigeria.
He was a pioneer who changed old thinking into new thoughts, simple ideas into new innovative ways of doing things.
Chika stunned the group members when he talked down the issue of some South-West leaders working against Tinubu’s aspirations.
Quoting an African proverb, “When the hyena wants to eat its children, it first accuses them of smelling like goats” he accused those few leaders as traitors and hypocrites who became leaders today as a result of Tinubu’s benevolence.
“People will find faults in you just to get rid of you.
Betrayal, arrogance, selfishness, they begin to feel you are intimidating when you don’t even know of their existence.
When they see you as a threat for no just cause, you begin to smell like a goat to them”
“They are hypocrites because they want to be seen as good people even though they know they are wrong in what they do.
Tinubu gave them a whole chicken and now they are refusing him just with a wing, how funny it sounds.”
Before you ask a man for clothes, take a look critically at the clothes that he is wearing. Do these people have an alternative to present from the South-West?
Chika finished the icing when he concluded by saying a short man should not be mistaken for a small boy.
What do they have against Tinubu that they are hellbent on destroying his image?
Is Tinubu the cause of the dwindling economy?
The man is presently victimized in the same Government you accuse him of bringing to power and yet you still crucify Tinubu.
Short man and small boy no be the same thing o.Rat no dey dance for doorway wey Cat dey pass.
The human existence is all about evolution, change is always needed with the change of time because of people’s needs, demands, necessities, lifestyle, mentality, class and status change.
Tinubu is idea for the genuine change the country needs.”
According to him, Tinubu has sacrificed his all for the unity and oneness of the country and as such should be rewarded with the presidency. He says it is payback time.
His depositions are still generating ripples in the high profiled Igbo community-based WhatsApp group.
So what are your views as regards Chika’s perception of the 2023 Presidential elections?
