HTG Limited sets to deliver world class ICT hub in Ibom E-Library

Following a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement with Akwa Ibom State Government over the management of the Library, HTG has started the redesigning and remodeling of the complex to turn it into a befitting digital hub to serve as a conducive physical and electronic library for learning, research, and digital skills training for the growing population of young people in the state.
During an inspection of the complex, Barr. Udofia revealed that the ongoing remodeling is to reposition the Library and enable it provide lasting solutions to the myriads of problems facing education technology in Nigeria, adding that the Library is billed for reopening in January 2021.
“The Ibom E-Library flagship product BLINC is the most efficient and reliable Primary to Tertiary Institution’s Learning Software in West Africa.
“BLINC is a school management software which consists of Learning Management System (LMS), School Management System (SMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS), all integrated as All-in-One software.
“The software has been developed with Nigerian Curriculum in mind, and is suitable for all levels of education in Nigeria starting from Primary to Tertiary Education.
“With BLINC, Classroom lectures, Assessment Tests and School Examinations can be carried out successfully online without any need to gather students in a physical classroom block. This will ease the problem of learning in Nigeria’s Public and Private Institutions”, he said.
The Corporate Affairs Executive also announced that with the Library’s World E-Book System, Library users will be able to access thousands of books on all subject matter in the world at the comfort of their homes.
He further hinted that when the Library reopens, it will house a reputable ICT training Institute known as HTG Academy, which will offer specialized trainings on emerging areas of ICT and Software Development.
“With our team of experts, the institute will offer trainings equivalent to that offered by Havard, Microsoft, Google, and so on”, he assured. “This will offer a lifetime opportunity for Akwa Ibom youths to position themselves in order to benefit from the many job opportunities available in ICT, which has long been recognized as the new oil”.
With several desktop computers and serene rooms with constant electricity and functional air conditioners, Barr. Udofia stated that the E-Library will become a sought-after center for Computer Based Tests (CBT) by government institutions, multinationals, schools, etc. “This will in due course, turn Akwa Ibom State to an ICT tourist State, with great Investment potentials”.
Some of the facilities at the Library include beautifully furnished office spaces, board rooms and a state-of-the-art Conference Hall with a seating capacity of over 300. The office spaces which are fully furnished and fitted, will also have constant internet and electricity supply for occupants.
Speaking earlier, HTG’s Head of Operations, Mrs. Enoabasi Emah noted that with HTG’s wide range of services spanning across ICT and education technology, the company is poised to reposition the Ibom E-Library for maximum productivity, adding the facility will soon become more relevant and useful to the people of the state.

Mrs. Emah assures that the Ibom E-Library will become a major center of attraction in state as it will be a one-stop solution center for education-related needs, and even draw traffic from members of the public who will be making use of the office spaces, event spaces, game lounge, etc.
“We have an all-in-one platform that has Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Learning Management System (LMS), and Marketplace, which are basically for school owners to help them manage their school system effectively”, she noted. “Then we have our E-resources and databases for tertiary institutions”.
