International Day of Peace: Group set to host National Entertainment/Peace Summit
In furtherance of peace in the society through entertainment a group of etertainers under the auspices of Drum Majors for Peace is set to host National Entertainment/Peace Summit to commemorate International Day of Peace 2020.
A release signed by the Executive Director, Mr Nsikan Paul the summit is seeking to bring together stakeholders in diverse religious communities, business men, artisans, government agencies and parastatals, civil society organizations, youth groups, entrepreneurs, entertainers, among others, to DRUM the message of peace, reconciliation and social cohesion in a fragile social fabric.
Paul further noted that the group believes to achieve sustainable peace in the society concerted effort is required.
“I firmly belief that peace requires conscious effort of all stakeholders if we must have a sustainable society. It is our collective responsibility to preach peace in season and out of season,” he noted.
The event which is coming up on 18th September 2020 by 10am at the Green Minds Hotel, A. E. Ekukinam Street, Off Obafemi Awolowo Way, 764 Utako has as it theme: Entertainment; a Panacea to Peaceful Coexistence and Economic Growth in Nigeria Amidst Covid-19.
The statement invites all peace loving individuals to attend the event
