Goretti Old Girls Inaugurates New Executives
Poised to ensure the smooth running and actualization of the alumni goals, the Goretti Girls Secondary Commercial School Alumni Association has elected a new executive committee to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.
The election was held at Tiger Bar, Ikot Ekpene Road, Uyo, with a good turnout of members from across the country.
After the election,Helen Bassey emerged as the new President, with a strong team comprising Nsikak Udoh as Vice President, Lucy Dennis as Secretary, Iniobong Dickson as Financial Secretary, and Kate Inyang as Treasurer.
The Welfare portfolio rested on Mrs Emem Ekarika and Udeme Silas, while NdukaAbasi Anana and Dorcas Manasseh will handle Media and Publicity Secretariat of the alumni.
In her acceptance speech, the newly elected President, Comrade Helen Bassey, expressed gratitude to the members for entrusting her and her team with the leadership of the association. She pledged a commitment to equity, fair, and efficient service delivery during their tenure.
