Guber 2023: PDP Candidate gets more endorsement, adoption
A few days to March 11 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate, Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has received more endorsements and adoptions by prominent groups and organisations across the state thereby increasing his chances of winning at the poll.
The latest of such adoption came from a non-indigeneous group in Akwa Ibom under the auspices of Non-Indigenes Alliance for Peace and Good Governance (NAPGGO) who came out en masse to endorse and adopt the candidacy of Pastor Umo Eno for March 11, Governorship race.
Speaking at the event on 7th March 2023 in Uyo, the Chairman NAPGGO, Dr. Godspower Egbono said as non Indigenes they believe in the vision, pedigree and competence of Umo Eno to govern Akwa Ibom State.
In his words, “There is no doubt in our minds that your leadership will consolidate on the existing peace we are enjoying now, and usher in more prosperity to all Akwa Ibomites and the non Indigenes. Bearing this in mind we are gathered here today, to declare our total support and loyalty to you and your Divine project, which we so much believe in.””
“We herein pledge unequivocally, that bearing all odds, we are
confident to deliver at least 1000 votes across the three Senatorial districts in Akwa Ibom State.””
Dr. Ade-Israel Bolaji Adybite in his goodwill message said that Umo Eno is divinely arranged to succeed Governor Udom Emmanuel,added that anything that Pastor Umo Eno does must have contention and if there’s no contention then God is not involve.
The group took time to educate members on the right way to vote.
Highpoint of the event was endorsement and adoption of Pastor Umo Eno as their sole candidate come March 11, 2023.
