2023: Umo Eno gubernatorial project, Arise Agenda still on course – Campaign Organisation
The Umo Eno campaign organisation, Maintain Peace Movement has assured supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate that the project is still on course.
This is due to the speculations and falsehood spread around on falsehood concerning the candidacy of Pastor Umo Eno.
In a statement signed by the spokesperson of MPM/Umo Eno for Governor Campaign Organisation, Prince Chris Abasieyo noted that “there’s absolutely no threat to the historic and divinely sanctioned journey to the Hilltop Mansion in 2023.””
The statement reads:
“”In the last few days, the virtual media and the political space, have been awash with all sorts of wild speculations concerning the candidacy of the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno.
“”Therefore, considering the deluge of these falsehoods, it has become imperative to assure the teeming supporters of Pastor Umo Eno that there’s absolutely no threat to the historic and divinely sanctioned journey to the Hilltop Mansion in 2023. In fact, the train had long left the station and it’s heading unstoppably for its destination.
“”Matter-of-factly, judicial proceedings are integral to the electoral process. So, those who have approached the courts have the right to do so. But he who hasn’t done wrong and whose hands are clean, will always remain focused and confident, knowing the outcome of a judicial process is always the defeat of falsehoods and the vindication of the innocent.
“”These cases are instituted by members of the opposition, mostly as a strategy to distract Pastor Umo Eno and his supporters, because they understand their absolute lack of chance on election day. Intel at our disposal, indicates that, worried by Pastor Umo Eno’s ever increasing popularity, dovetailing a landslide victory in the 2023 election, brought the opposition camps together, where they conspired and agreed to institute cases in the court from all corners, aimed at distracting Pastor Umo Eno and his camp. The same source, added that, more of such distractions are underway.
“To all Umo Enoists, we say, there is no cause for alarm. Don’t lose faith. Don’t lose a second of sleep on account of the seemingly endless propaganda of the opposition. That’s their stock in trade and they have nothing to offer other than lies and defamatory publications. That’s why they aren’t cut out for leadership, because character is important and in fact, indispensable in leadership.
“Buoyed by unimpeachable truths and incontrovertible facts, our legal team is on top of the cases. But, while our lawyers expertly handle the cases, ours is to focus on the polling units, because that’s where the decision on who will be the next Governor of Akwa Ibom State will be announced. Therefore, Just ensure your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and those of your friends and loved ones are safe and intact for the D-day.
“”Thanks for believing in and supporting Pastor Umo Eno as the man ordained by God to take Akwa Ibom State to the next level of socio-economic and political development. But, to the traducers, they shall beat their swords into plowshares, as their approaching hoofbeats, beat, but in vain, while their virtual media propaganda shall be deplatformed.
