Gunmen attack Kogi Community, kill 4
Gunmen assaulted Bagana community in Kogi State’s Omala Local Government Area late Tuesday, killing at least four people and injuring dozens more.
The attackers stormed a shop in the village’s core, killing the sales representative and three clients who had come to buy some products, according to a village resident.
The assailants had gone on a shooting rampage, injuring a large number of people.
“The assailants came to attack one guy merely known as Musa,” according to the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dabban, who confirmed the event to newsmen on Wednesday.
“Four persons were slain, according to the information we have. Three additional clients, including a 13-year-old salesman.
“They came to attack one Musa who was not available, and they went ahead and attacked innocent people,” Dabban explained.
He stated that no suspects have been apprehended and that an inquiry into the incident has begun.
