2023: Either Chibuike Amaechi or Orji Uzor will be Nigeria’s President – World Council of Igbo Youths
The leadership of the World Council of Igbo Youths, a socioethno-political organisation in Igbo land under the auspices of Ezumezu Umuokoro-Igbo has declared support for the Presidential aspirations of former Governors of Abia and Rivers States, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Chibuike Amaechi in 2023.
The Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Youth Council, Comrade Chinomso Samuel who made this known while addressing newsmen in Enugu said the group is consulting widely to ensure the success of their preferred aspirants.
He added that their wide consultation across all INEC wards in igbo land and in extension other young progressives from other ethnic groups in Nigeria suggests that they and the entire Nigerians are comfortable with the choice of either Chibuike Amaechi or Orji Uzor Kalu as Nigeria’s President come 2023 and Rabiu Kwankwaso or Aminu Tambuwal as Vice President.
Comrade Samuel noted that a 13-man delegation set up by the group for “choice confirmation tour” for two months has completed their tour of 36 states of the federation including Abuja.
He said “even our official line: 08154249831 has received over 19 million messages prominently suggesting the Aminu Tambuwal and Rabiu Kwankwaso as next Nigeria’s vice President then Orji Uzor Kalu and Chibuike Amaechi as Next President. The good thing is that we have succeeded in building a good tie with our contemporaries in other ethnic divides to ensure that we as a people have selfless and experienced Nigerian leaders of our choice in 2023 not those imposed on us by clueless individuals,” he stressed.
The group stated that they are not interested in any political parties but to ensure that the right candidates emerges that will be accepted by Nigerians no matter which party’s flag he is flying.
